We're Here To Help You With Special Needs Trusts

Special Needs Trusts

Planning ahead can make a significant difference for a loved one with special needs.  A Special Needs Trust (SNT) is a trust that will preserve the beneficiary’s eligibility for needs-based government benefits such as Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income while allowing them to keep funds in the trust used towards their care. Because the beneficiary does not own the assets in the trust, he or she can remain eligible for benefit programs that have an asset limit.  A Special Needs Trust (SNT) allows you to provide financial security to your child or loved one after you pass without leaving them ineligible to receive the government benefits that sustain their care.

If you’re the parent of a child who may not be able to financially support themselves due to a physical or mental disability or chronic illness, or who has received an inheritance that could end their government resources, you should consider establishing a special needs trust.
